한일의 기초 영문법 - 04 하루도 안쓸 수 없는 In order to

- in order to (~을 하기 위하여)

- 공부하다 + ~을 하기 위하여 = in order to study

- 예문

I woke up at six in order to go to work. I took the subway In order to avoid the unnecessary traffic. I went up to the office in order to call my friend. I checked my email in order to see the schedule. I went down the faculty room in order to make some copies, and I came in the class in order to teach. Now I am teaching this class in order to make my students really happy.

- 위의 예문에서 계속 들리는 반복되는 in order to가 있다.

- 영어는 반복을 싫어하기  때문에 in order to를 to로 줄임

- I took a sit behind the tree in order to avoid people's eyes

- I took a sit behind the tree to avoid people's eyes

- to 부정사와 똑같은 to이기 때문에 구분하기 위해서는 앞/뒤의 문장을 봐야 알 수 있다.
